Dec. 2025	Congratulations to our high school volunteer Ariana Yi (Mission San Jose High School) for winning the only Best Paper Award at SmartSP 2025 for her paper “Can You Trust What You See? Alpha Channel No-Box Attacks on Video Object Detection”! She conducted this research under the guidance of our lab members Ce Zhou and Liyang Xiao. Our paper "StealthPhase: Towards a Stealthy Backdoor Attack Against Speaker Recognition" is accepted by IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security (TIFS)! Dr. Yan was invited to serve as the General Chair of EAI SmartSP 2026, to be held in Detroit, Michigan! Dr. Yan was invited to serve in the Sponsorship Chair of USENIX VehicleSec 2026.
